- 2002 – The core team began working together in the Florida School Choice movement to administer the Florida Tax Scholarship Program.
- 2010 – AAA Scholarship Foundation formed to administer scholarships in Georgia specifically for low and middle income families with higher accountability requirements than required by law.
- 2012 – AAA expands to serve Arizona through Corporate Tax Credit Scholarships specifically for low and middle income families maintaining higher accountability requirements than required by law.
- 2013 – Expansion continues into both Alabama and Pennsylvania bringing AAA’s high level of accountability and service to more in need families.
- 2014 – AAA continues to grow to bring the highest level of accountability and services to the families of Florida. Florida enables a shining example of AAA Scholarship Foundation education philosophy that access to quality education should not be dependent on a family’s zip code.
- 2015 – AAA is recognized as the first scholarship organization to administer scholarships for low income families in Nevada.
- 2015 – AAA is approved to administer Florida’s new Personal Learning Scholarship Account (“PLSA”) program providing scholarships for qualifying students with special needs, one of this country’s first education savings account (“ESA”) programs.
- 2016 – Florida’s PLSA program is renamed the Gardiner Scholarship honoring Senate President Andy Gardiner and his family for their advocacy of children with special needs in Florida.
- 2019 – AAA is approved in Florida to administer its new Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) Program to expand income limits and extend support to more families.
- 2023 – Florida expands FTC and FES-EO scholarships to all Florida students, regardless of income and converts both to education savings accounts for parent-led education options.
- 2025 – The new Federal Tax Credit Scholarship program is signed into law. The program is designed to expand educational options for all school aged children by encouraging donations to nonprofits like AAA that grant scholarships to students for qualified elementary and secondary education expenses within the states they serve.
